Time Strategies

For this assignment, I read The Important Habit of Just Starting by Jory Mackay and 4 Questions to Help You Overcome Procrastination by Peter Banerjea.  These two articles were both informative and positive.

The Important Habit of Just Starting pointed out issues of delay and the reasons behind it.  I really liked that, because it explained not only how to resolve the problem but it also included why we might be procrastinating.  It really showcased why it is important to set aside time and make specific goals in order to successfully start and finish a project.

4 Questions to Help You Overcome Procrastination was different because instead of suggesting checklists and planners, it offered another way to help you overcome the hurdles of starting.  It was interesting.  The questions are definitely some I will be asking myself whenever I feel stuck.  They are simple things that will make the overall, perhaps difficult, task easier to complete.

For this class, I plan on applying the advice from these articles into my daily routine.  I hope to really use the information to better myself and work on moving forward in my work as opposed to leaving it unstarted.  I am going to split my tasks into chunks, as suggested by Banerjea.  Instead of doing the entire project all at once, it will be much easier to tackle by spreading it into smaller tasks.
