My Favorite Place... Hawaii
My favorite place is Honolulu, Hawaii. Honolulu is my favorite because Hawaii has so many wonderful memories of my family. We took a vacation to the tropical paradise when I was young, but I still remember seeing huge turtles resting on the beach and collecting hundreds of seashells with my brother.
While my brother and dad went out for some "man-time," my mom took my granny and me to the hotel lobby. We made flower necklaces while Native women told us stories about the island and its traditions. It was a really great trip that made Honolulu my favorite place.

Wow, I wonder how many times Hawaii and Muskogee have been paired in a blog post title before, Lauren: how cool! I lived in Hawaii when I was in high school, and it was an amazing place. Maybe you will want to do a Hawaii project for this class; it has an amazing tradition of myths and legends: Hawaii stories online at the Freebookapalooza ... and of course there are some wonderful Creek resources online too, like this one: Totkv Mocvse / New Fire: Creek Folktales by Earnest Gouge ... you might want to explore those when you start brainstorming topics in Week 2. :-)
